We are excellent at engaging parents, carers and families, and our model for Parental Engagement has been built over the last 10 years of working with some of the hardest to reach communities in the country. Connecting Parents brings that expertise and makes it work for you.
Connecting Parents treats parents with respect and values their input and opinions. It builds trust by showing that we actually listens to what parents say. We bring people together to make the most of the educational opportunities available to your pupils.
As parents ourselves we understand the difficulties involved in engaging with our child's education and we can relate to the stresses and frustrations that are often present. As professionals we have worked with school staff at all levels and over the 10 years we have worked in the classroom, we have built a very good understanding of the difficulties of working with not only children but their families as well.
Connecting Parents builds bridges and works sensitively with all parts of your community.
Connecting Parents gets out into the playground and asks parents and carers what they think. We hold events or meetings to bring your parents into your school in a manner that you control and are happy with but that starts the process of engagement for as long as the children are with you.
We find that listening is the key and that really taking notice of what parents and carers think, want and need - and being seen to do so - makes parental engagement a reality.
