Connecting Parents is about your school community and we work tirelessly with you to achieve the right balance between information and engagement,with trust and safeguarding.
We understand that working in the classroom with your staff and pupils needs trust and we build that trust by putting the serious needs of the school first at all times. We are very sensitive to safeguarding issues both with children and adults and we work with you to make sure that no one who has not given permission or who has a safeguarding issue does not appear on film or in photographs.
Connecting Parents is also about our team establishing a working relationship with your team and that can take time and effort - of course if you want us to come in for a day, make a film and then go away again then we can do that - but we find that Connecting Parents has better lasting results when we work with you over time to build a resource that has ownership from the whole school community.
Connecting Parents recognises that the most important task your staff have is to education your pupils and keep them safe and we work with you to make sure that we have a positive impact on both of those tasks.
We don't expect you to disrupt your timetable to fit in with us.
We work with what is being taught and film what is actually there.
All of our staff hold extended DBS certificates.
No-one goes into the classroom without your permission.
All films have to be checked by you before they are included.
All photographs have to be approved by you before they are included.
We work with you to make any changes you request to film or image or text.
We do not tell you what you need, we work from solid consultation with your community.
