SSFR Legacy Learning Materials Pack
The learning materials that have been developed as part of the Southend Schools Festival of Remembrance are the product of 15 months of research and development by many members of the project team. With thanks to Fred and Heather Feather and Michael Eighteen from the Essex Society for Family History, Bob O'Leary and Jill O'Leary and the members of the Leigh-on-Sea Branch of the Royal British Legion, Beth Hooper, Alastair Deacon and Sacha Deacon, Chris Langdon and Southend Museum, Carole Mulroney and Valerie Morgan from the Leigh Society and the Essex Record Office, Cathryn Corns, Glenn Hearnden from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
This learning pack is based around the events of the Great War in the Southend-on-Sea and Rochford area and covers various subjects from the period. The pack is free to use for anyone who is interested and is accompanied by the SSFR Trail on this website.
